No matter where you are, your bed is right there with you, the kitchen is in the luggage compartment, just like your belongings. You travel with your home.

The start
What is the best way to start? With the purchase of the car, of course! Before that, you should think about the level of comfort you want to travel in. Are you happy with a car in which you fold down the back seats and put a mattress inside? Or do you want to buy a Rooftop Tent? Do you need four-wheel drive? When it comes to choosing the right car, take your time and look at all the options.
Otherwise, you also have the option of travelling in a caravan or motorhome/van. Advantage: Comfort at its best. Disadvantage: Price.
The morning
The connection to nature is indescribable. In the morning you open the tailgate of your home and the first rays of sunshine tickle your face. Still sleepy and cuddled up in your blanket you enjoy the cool morning air and relax with a breathtaking background noise. Camping tables and chairs are quickly set up and the tea is already boiling on the small stove. During a delicious breakfast in the wild you can bury your feet in the fine sand.
The day
You leave whenever you’re ready, you have no time limit. A nice feeling when you can do everything, but don’t have to do anything. The roads are not precedent—setting; at every intersection you are spoilt for choice. Wherever you go, you know that in the evening you have a roof over your head and it’s actually your own. You will meet nice people, who are drawn to nature in the same way. You can observe exactly how nature and culture change from one kilometer to the next.
The evening
Have you already found a nice place to spend the night? By the lake, in a small glade in the forest or next to a quiet country road? You’re in no hurry! Get out your chairs again and maybe sit around a campfire and let the day end in a cosy atmosphere. Do you still plan to cook and set up your small handy kitchen and prepare the feast? Or do you go straight to bed and relax? All options are open to you.
Cooking
Whether you have a small kitchen in a motorhome or a small camping stove, cooking can always be fun. You get your ingredients out of your cooler and off you go. But never buy too much, so that none of your food gets bad. Food is especially fun when you can enjoy the view of nature at the same time.
Hygiene
Of course, you’re also wondering about hygiene on a trip like this. We are just as clean or dirty on the road as we are at home. For this we have a small selection of products that are environmentally friendly and easy to store. We do our laundry at the laundromat; we stay clean by taking public showers, going for a swim or taking a shower in the van.
Advices
- Download a fueling app to find the cheapest gas stations.
- Know your car. You don’t have to be a mechanic, but it helps immensely if you know your way around at least a little.
- Store things properly, so that nothing gets thrown around when you’re on the road!
- Watch out for signs! Is it permitted to spend the night here?
- Don’t disturb anything or anyone! Your presence should not be noticeable afterwards.
