Indonesia

Indonesia consists of over 17,500 islands, of which around 7,000 are inhabited. It has countless language groups and ethnicities, cultures and incredible landscapes. The country also holds some of the most pristine underwater landscapes and marine life. Some of the most famous places in Indonesia are Jakarta, Bali and Lombok.

The best time to travel to Indonesia is during the dry season! During this time, the days are hot and dry, and there is barely a rain cloud in sight. However, it is also worth visiting parts of the country during the rainy season. Although there are heavy tropical downpours almost every day, the showers often last only one or two hours.

In restaurants and hotels in touristic areas, you can mostly pay by credit card. Most international credit card networks are accepted in Indonesia’s major cities and tourist strongholds. There are many ATMs in popular destinations like Bali and Jakarta, but unfortunately there are almost none in remote places. However, only cash is accepted at local markets.
