Anna's Story
I’m Anna, an enthusiastic creative who discovers joy in everyday moments and chases her crazy dreams with a lot of energy. I love beautiful words, books, flowers, candlelight, whales, Christmas time, sunsets, any of the four seasons, starlit summer nights, Harry Potter and my horse Petti.
In a small village there lived a little girl with a great enthusiasm for books and languages. I learned English at the age of four and have been torn between my German roots and my passion for the countries of this world ever since. The second one intensified during my student exchange to Australia in 2014. Just one year later, I met Carlo who promised to travel the world with me. I laugh a lot, tell embarrassing stories about myself and hopefully by the end of our time together everyone will feel like they have made a new friend. With my Bachelor’s degree in hand, I most recently worked in a communications agency as a Content & PR Consultant.
My passion is to take all my energy and pass it on to others in the form of writing, photos and experiences. Maybe we will all manage to live more consciously and fearlessly.
Carlo's Story
I’m Carlo, a German hobby photographer passionate about adventures and the outdoors.
I love sports, technology, surfing, coffee, bags, photography, summer, Italian food, Christopher Nolan movies, and being barefoot.
I actually didn’t grow up loving photography. After Anna and I decided to spend a year abroad in Australia, I picked up a camera for the first time and immediately fell in love with capturing moments. Freezing them through a picture is basically a kind of time travel for me. With that, my true love of adventure began. I’m very grateful to be able to share the world through my eyes.
Right before the pandemic, I started studying media informatics and developed a second love: web design.
With the founding of Destary, we fulfilled our dream of telling our stories. Stories about fireworks above the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, whale tours in New Zealand and Aurora Borealis in the night sky of Iceland.
