Morocco

Morocco, a fascinating country in North West Africa, combines a rich history, diverse culture and stunning landscapes. From the bustling bazaars of the medina in Marrakech to the breathtaking Sahara Desert, Morocco offers travellers a diverse range of experiences.

The summer months of June to August can be very hot, especially in the desert areas. However, this is also when the bazaars and festivals are in full swing. Winter, from November to February, offers milder temperatures, ideal for city sightseeing and desert tours. The ski resorts in the Atlas Mountains attract winter sports enthusiasts during this period.

As for payment methods, many hotels, restaurants and shops in the larger cities accept credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard. However, it is advisable to carry cash as it is still the preferred method of payment in rural areas and smaller towns. ATMs are widely available and accept credit and debit cards for cash withdrawals. It is advisable to find out about possible charges for international transactions before travelling.
