Arrival and opening hours
Neuschwanstein Castle is open all year round except on some public holidays. The best way to get there is by car or train. The nearest railway station is Füssen, from where you can take a bus to the castle. Please check the opening hours and plan your visit accordingly.
Guided tours
Access inside the castle is by guided tour only, which is available in a number of languages. Early booking is recommended as Neuschwanstein is very popular and in high demand. You can also visit the front of the castle free of charge without a guided tour.
Photography
Photography is not allowed inside the castle, but the exterior views offer many beautiful photo opportunities. So don’t forget your camera!
