From the bustling streets of Munich to the tranquil shores of Lake Como and the breathtaking peaks of the Alps, we took advantage of every day to explore the natural beauty, culture and history of this region. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-32db4f8 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"32db4f8\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-99ea9fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"99ea9fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Day 1: Munich \u2013 a taste of Bavaria<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae78184 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ae78184\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Our journey through the Dolomites and Northern Italy started in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Our first stop was the impressive Fraunkirche church, whose Gothic architecture immersed us in the history of Bavaria. After this initial cultural experience, we explored the vibrant streets of Munich, venturing into charming cafes and discovering small boutiques. Finally, we were drawn to the Japanese Garden, a place of tranquillity and harmony amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. We drift, see what we like and book hotel after hotel. In Bolzano, we strolled through the picturesque streets, marvelled at the magnificent buildings and sampled the local delicacies. We were captivated by the charm of Merano, nestled in a breathtaking mountain landscape. The <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/the-three-peaks-unesco-world-natural-heritage\/\">Three Peaks<\/a> hike took us into a world of rugged peaks and green valleys.  Along the way, we met adorable cows that added to the idyllic mountain scenery. As the drone took off, spectacular views of the majestic mountain peaks opened up. On the way back we came across the mysterious Rittner Pyramids and in our hotel we discovered a spooky painting hiding a safe. A day full of nature, adventure and a touch of mystery.   <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-94db650 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"94db650\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We especially loved the Dolomites! Lago di Dobbiaco, nestled in a picturesque mountain landscape, also had an enchanting tranquillity. The highlight of the day, however, was a visit to the <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/alpe-di-siusi-natural-paradise-in-the-dolomites\/\">Alpe di Siusi<\/a> at sunset. We walked across the blooming meadows in complete solitude, letting the drone soar into the sky and capturing the golden hour in breathtaking images. The journey continued in the direction of <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/travel-guides\/the-most-beautiful-places-on-lake-garda\/\">Lake Garda<\/a>, Malcesine.  There we strolled through the charming streets and met Carlos&#8217; parents. The day ended with a delicious Italian dinner &#8211; pizza and pasta! But not without a surprise: a scorpion had adventurously found its way into our room. Exploring the town took us to several ice cream parlours where we sampled the most delicious Italian ice creams. Thanks to our car, we had the freedom to explore not only the towns on the shores of Lago di Garda, but also <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/travel-guides\/verona-tracing-back-the-story-of-romeo-and-juliet\/\">Verona<\/a> with ease. The evening visit to the Duomo di Milano was a breathtaking experience. The Gothic architecture in the spotlight gave the cathedral a fairytale atmosphere. beautiful lakes in Northern Italy, welcomed us with its tranquil elegance. Arriving in Como, we explored the charming town with its narrow streets and picturesque squares. The lakeside promenade offered breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We let ourselves be enchanted by the charm of Como, visiting historical sights and enjoying the culinary delights of the region. The trip to Bellagio, a picturesque town at the confluence of the three arms of the lake, fascinated us with its colourful houses and narrow streets. The trip took us through breathtaking Alpine scenery. The <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/furka-pass-hotel-belvedere\/\">Furka Pass<\/a> offered not only spectacular roads but also breathtaking views of colourful peaks.   A visit to the <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/the-rhone-glacier\/\">Rhone Glacier<\/a> with its mighty masses of ice left a deep impression on us. The Rhine Gorge, also known as the &#8220;Swiss Grand Canyon&#8221;, took us into a world of impressive rock formations and turquoise waters. Nature was at its most majestic. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7c48931 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7c48931\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Who would have thought that we would enjoy this little side trip to Switzerland so much! The Furka Pass with its Belvedere Castle and especially the Rhone Glacier were incredibly fascinating! The imposing architecture and location on a hill made it an unforgettable sight. Our journey then took us to the <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/geierlay-suspension-bridge\/\">Geierlay Suspension Bridge<\/a>, from where we had a breathtaking view of the surrounding nature. These two landmarks provided a fairytale backdrop \u2013 and plenty of room to be afraid of heights!   <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9fdf96a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9fdf96a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Wow. Finally, we made it to Neuschwanstein Castle. An incredibly beautiful castle that really impressed us! The Geierlay suspension bridge was also really worth seeing \u2013 but quite a challenge if you have a fear of heights! The morning began with a visit to the picturesque <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/eltz-castle-a-journey-back-in-time-to-the-middle-ages\/\">Eltz Castle<\/a>, whose towers were lit up in the morning light.  A touch of the Middle Ages surrounded us as we strolled through the historic walls. We continued on to Cologne, where we visited the impressive cathedral and strolled through the bustling streets of the old town.
