diversity of Taghazout reflects Morocco&#8217;s rich history. Islam is the predominant religion and the numerous mosques shape the daily life of the inhabitants. The muezzin&#8217;s call to prayer is a characteristic sound that defines the atmosphere of the village. The locals practise their faith peacefully and respectfully, and visitors are welcome to visit the mosques as long as they respect religious customs and rules.      <\/p>\n<p>Culturally, Taghazout is strongly influenced by Berber culture, which is deeply rooted in the region. The Berbers are known for their traditional arts, music and crafts. In the local souks (markets) you can buy handmade carpets, ceramics and jewelry, and in the evenings the streets come alive as locals perform traditional music and dances.
