Our route took us to the imposing Notre-Dame Cathedral and finally to the iron elegance of the Tour Eiffel. We enjoyed admiring the <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/musee-du-louvre\/\">Louvre<\/a> from the outside before preparing for an evening in front of the Eiffel Tower.   Rue de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 was undoubtedly the best place to experience the magical glow.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element Vincent Van Gogh and Renoir <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-db6a8f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"db6a8f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The morning took us to the picturesque streets of Montmartre, where the Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur Basilica towers over the city. A visit to the Galeries Lafayette offered not only excellent shopping, but also breathtaking views from both inside and out. We continued with a detour to the modern Centre Pompidou, the Place du Trocad\u00e9ro and a charming walk through the historic district of Le Marais. In the afternoon, we immersed ourselves in the world of art at the <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/musee-dorsay-masterpieces-at-the-seine\/\">Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Orsay<\/a>. The stunning collection of Impressionist masterpieces, including works by Monet, Van Gogh and Renoir, made us lose track of time. The Louvre may be bigger, but the charm of the Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Orsay is incomparable.     <\/p>\n<p>In the evening, we let ourselves be spoilt by Parisian cuisine. A delicious dinner with cr\u00eape for dessert was the crowning glory of an eventful day. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element Then the Louvre welcomed us with its impressive fa\u00e7ade and we immersed ourselves in the treasures of this vast museum. Here we were enchanted by the impressive collection of ancient art through to the masterpieces of the Renaissance. The Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Wings of Nike &#8211; each work of art told its own story. Our next stop was the mysterious Catacombes de Paris, where we wandered through the underground catacombs. Finally, we made our way to the imposing <a href=\"https:\/\/destary.com\/en\/sights\/the-pantheon-in-paris-a-monument-to-history-and-culture\/\">Panth\u00e9on<\/a>, which is not only a stunning piece of architecture, but also the final resting place of many famous people. Inside the Panth\u00e9on are the tombs of some of France&#8217;s greatest thinkers, writers and scientists, including Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo and Marie Curie. On our way through the city, we also discovered the Palais-Royal and the historic Place de la Bastille.       <\/p>\n<p>We spent the evening at a cosy pizzeria called The Brooklyn Pizzeria, followed by our daily ritual of admiring the sparkling Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-30ae87b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"30ae87b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span class=\"notion-enable-hover\" data-token-index=\"0\">The Panth\u00e9on: Maybe not so interesting for many, but as I studied philosophy as a second subject, I found it particularly exciting! The Louvre: Breathtaking, of course! And the catacombs?
