On that day, the World Trade Center and thousands of innocent lives were extinguished in a tragic terrorist attack. Ground Zero, the site where the Twin Towers once stood, is now a symbol of memory, pain and hope.  <\/p>\n<p>The 9\/11 Memorial Museum is a place dedicated to the victims of the attack and is a reminder of how precious life is. Upon entering the grounds, you immediately feel the atmosphere of dignity and respect. The two massive pools of water at the sites of the former towers, framed by the names of the deceased, are a tribute to the lives that were lost that day. The museum itself offers an insight into the events of the day and the aftermath of the attack, including the heroic efforts of the rescue workers and the solidarity of people in the city and around the world. At a time when the world is wracked by conflict and uncertainty, it is important to remember that hope and humanity shine through in the most difficult moments. This breathtaking observation deck is located on the top floor of One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. <\/p>\n<p>The ascent to the observatory is an experience in itself. After only a few seconds of travel, the high-speed lift takes you to a height of over 380 metres. During the ride, you can watch a fascinating time-lapse animation of the development of the New York skyline since the 1600s on a screen. Even though this lift is fast, you feel safe and can enjoy the ride. Once at the top, a breathtaking view of all of Manhattan and beyond is revealed in front of your eyes. The huge panoramic windows provide a view of the city from a completely new perspective. You can admire Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and many other landmarks from a bird&#8217;s eye perspective.
