However, the whole scenario is only completed by many smaller waterfalls that are located below the Dynjandi. Its name which in Icelandic means as much as<em> \u201cthe raving one\u201d<\/em> or also <em>\u201cthe booming one\u201d<\/em> does it all honour. From Reykjav\u00edk there are about 370 kilometres of partly winding roads. One leaves the ring road and follows route 60, the Vestfjar\u00f0avegur, until one discovers the impressive waterfall of the river Dynjandis\u00e1 behind a turn in the road. It is 100 meters high, 30 meters wide at the top and 60 meters wide at the bottom. It is important to know that you can NOT camp on the spot. Each of them is special in its own way and contributes to the spectacular atmosphere. You should definitely hike up to the top to see the natural highlight. The ascent takes about 20 minutes with several stops to take pictures. Arriving at the top it will be a wet affair. Already from a distance, the Dynjandi appears powerful and majestic; from the near, the wall of water appears much more energetic and fascinating.     <\/p>\n<p>Not to forget the view. Turning your back to the Dynjandi, you have an almost unreal landscape in front of your eyes.
