Whether the crash was due to the weather, too little fuel, machine problems or human error could not be clarified. The best known theory, however, is a mixture of everything: The pilot is supposed to have switched to the wrong tank, whereupon the aircraft crashed due to the heavy thunderstorm. But the most important thing: All passengers remained unharmed!   <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e333987 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e333987\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-659669a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"659669a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Where is the wreck?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-14e2dab elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"14e2dab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The car park from where you get to the wreck is located between the town of V\u00edk and the Sk\u00f3gafoss waterfall. You can\u2019t see the plane from the car park as it is 3.5 kilometres from the road. For this reason, you should prepare for a longer hike. However, the only thing that complicates the way is the weather. In summer, it shouldn\u2019t be a problem to take the road, but in winter it\u2019s not recommended. The wreck is not far from the coast, which can cause strong winds. Also, on the way one is not protected from the wind, as there is nothing around except flat land. Due to the few hours of sunshine in winter, it is very dangerous to make your way to the wreck, which is why the ICE-SAR is often called upon to \u201crescue\u201d tourists who have lost their way or had an accident. Getting lost in S\u00f3lheimasandur is really no fun; there have been deaths.      <\/p>\n<p>Those who are not sure if they will make it, can take the bus for 2000 ISK (about 15\u20ac), which departs every half hour from 10am to 6pm. If you only want to take the bus back, you have to pay 1500 ISK, about 10\u20ac. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0bb7991 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0bb7991\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-294f14b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"294f14b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Important!<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dbcdc97 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dbcdc97\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Dress according to the weather! Pull out several layers that are not only windproof, but also waterproof! <\/li>\n<li>Follow the path so that you don\u2019t get lost.<\/li>\n<li>The weather can change by the minute, so get ready for anything.<\/li>\n<li>In winter it quickly gets dark; choose the best time to see the wreck.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t climb on the plane; forbidden!<\/li>\n<li>In case of emergency call
