Its dramatic beauty, diverse flora and fauna and geological and cultural significance attract thousands of visitors every year. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e9ac92b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e9ac92b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9e05a78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9e05a78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Location and accessibility<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-65047d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"65047d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Rhine Gorge, called &#8216;Ruinaulta&#8217; in Romansh, is located in the canton of Graub\u00fcnden between Ilanz and Reichenau. It was formed by the Vorderrhein river, which has cut its way through the limestone over thousands of years. The gorge is about 13 kilometres long and is characterised by sheer rock walls up to 400 metres high.  <\/p><p>The area is easily accessible by car and public transport. The famous &#8216;Rhaetian Train&#8217; offers a spectacular journey along the gorge and allows visitors to experience this natural wonder up close. In the years that followed, the Vorderrhein began to carve its way through the layers of rock, forming the gorge we see today. <\/p><p>The interplay of water, limestone and erosion makes the Rhine Gorge an object lesson in geological processes. The white cliffs and striking formations tell of an eventful geological history and attract geologists from all over the world. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
