It comes to life every hour between 9am and 9pm when the figures of the twelve apostles appear in the windows. As well as telling the time, the complex clockwork also displays astronomical information such as the phases of the moon and the movements of the planets. The clock is divided into three main parts: the astronomical dial, the &#8216;Way of the Apostles&#8217; and a calendar movement.
